How to handle player details – Does a registered player need to have an email?

Answer:

No – you can create a registered user with an artificial email – the artificial email like xxx@notarealemail.XVZ can be used as a login but will not receive any newsletters, etc.

When we import club databases we add artificial emails for those members without an email or if the member user does want email to be public.

You can look up and add a member with an artificial email exactly as you ender a “normal” member by click on the enlargement glass icon. See mere here

The option to enter player names on the web is found under Admin – Tournament (select relevant tournament on the list) and click the Players icon

A player registered with an artificial email will have login access and will have player data access. You can change the members (see here) emails

Please also notice – A player registered with an artificial email will be shown on the tablet and on the webserver players list with an orange coloured icon/dot next to the name  – a registered user will have a green dot. A player shown with an illustrative text will have a white dot and no player information or no illustrative text entered – the original  Player XX” is marked with a red do. Please see the example below.
