Game results with a public link
Not everyone who plays wants a user account. A public link lets you send the results of one game straight to the players – and to anyone else you choose – without a login.
Who can open a public link?
Anyone who receives the URL. No user name, no password. Club members and guests alike.
Where do I find the public link?
Log in to your bridgeplusserver.com account, open the results of the game, and look for the clickable text ‘Public link’ in the results section. Click it, copy the URL, and share it with your players. The public address has this shape:
https://bridgeplusserver.com/public-results-details/…
The address you see while you are logged in is a different one and only opens for registered users. It is the ‘Public link’ text that gives you the open, shareable address.
One link per game
Every tournament and every session has its own public link. A link from last week’s game does not show this week’s results, so send the link belonging to the game you have just played.
When does it work?
During play as well as afterwards. Results can be read after each round, so your players can follow along while the game is still running.
Permission and GDPR
The club must authorise public results before the option is switched on, and we implement it according to the club’s wishes. Public results are deliberately shown with less detail than the logged-in view, so that members’ details are not published to people outside the club. See How to offer a public result presentation.
A tip when you send the link by e-mail
Ask your players to paste the address into the browser without any quotation marks around it. This is the most common reason a shared link does not open.
How your players read the results page
- Participants are listed by placing. The heading Session rank, slightly to the right, is the placing number. The No column on the left is the pair number.
- Click a field to see that pair’s performance board by board.
- Please note: the red box at the top always shows pair 1. To see your own results, click the box you are in yourself.
- Inside a board, the icon on the left shows the card distribution, and the right-hand side shows how the play went.
- The round structure is shown by the vertical line. Choose round and click a round number to see the results after each round.
If a player wants the full picture
Registered users get more detail by logging in at bridgeplusserver.com – see 5.1 Game results on server. Registered means the player’s federation number has been entered and the name selected. After logging in, the second line in the top right corner must show the right club; if it does not, click there and pick the club from the list. Players without a federation number can also be handled – just contact us. See also Player result access.
Running score in the room
A public link is for sending results to people. If you want the running score – running results shown live on a screen while the game is played – use the Monitor feature instead.
